YFC is committed to providing current, relevant resources to our area youth leaders, church youth and the families they represent through their resource library. In addition to this service, is looking to hire a qualified individual to give leadership to this ministry division. Priorities for the Church and Family Resource division include:
Centre Stage - large outreach / worship events that utilize music, media, drama and outstanding speakers to communicate the gospel, challenging young people to make Christ, "Centre Stage" of their live, each and every day.
Parent / Teen Workshops - Designed to help parents better understand what's going on in the lives of their adolescent children, and to give them practical ideas and principles for effective parenting in today's world.
Youth Leadership Training - Periodic workshops , as well as one on one consultation, designed to assist youth leaders in their work within their local church.
City-wide Camps, Retreats and Conferences - Highlights of a ministry year always include trips, special events and weekend getaways. For years, YFC has seen the need to co-lead camps, events, retreats and conferences where non-churched and church young people can become acquainted, build relationships and as they come to faith in Christ, the door is open for them to be discipled into the local church.
Project Serve - Summer mission's trips can be life changing and indeed, have been that for many of the students involved in these unique ministry experiences. Teaming up with different churches has always proven to be a positive experience. | |
